Job summary

Fyndbridge Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead the end-to-end finance function for a manufacturing plant. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

You'll manage FP&A, costing, MIS, working capital, and audits while partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive profitability and operational efficiency. ERP expertise, preferably SAP FI/CO, is essential.

Qualifications

• CA qualification or MBA in Finance
• 9–13 years of experience in Manufacturing Finance or Plant Finance
• Strong expertise in Financial Controllership, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, FP&A, MIS, Working Capital Management, Inventory Accounting, Internal Controls, and Statutory Compliance
• Hands-on ERP systems experience, preferably SAP FI/CO
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence strategic decision-making
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end finance function for the manufacturing plant.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Drive robust financial governance and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgets, and rolling forecasts.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis and profitability reviews.
• Present financial insights and business performance reports to senior management.
• Support strategic business decisions through data-driven financial analysis.
• Manage product costing, standard costing, and cost allocation.
• Analyze material, labour, and overhead costs.
• Monitor manufacturing variances and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Drive productivity improvement and margin enhancement initiatives.
• Monitor inventory, WIP, and finished goods inventory; review valuation, ageing, reconciliation.
• Drive initiatives to optimize working capital and improve inventory efficiency.
• Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering on commercial and financial matters.
• Review vendor payments, procurement controls, and commercial transactions.
• Monitor CAPEX and OPEX spending to ensure budget adherence.
• Prepare monthly MIS, Plant P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and KPI dashboards.
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations.
• Present periodic financial reviews to plant and corporate leadership.
• Coordinate Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, Cost Audit, and Tax Audit.
• Ensure GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act compliance.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and improve governance practices.
• Manage capitalization, CWIP, depreciation, asset register, and physical verification.
• Ensure compliance with fixed assets accounting and statutory requirements.
• Work with Plant Head and cross-functional leadership to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Provide commercial insights and financial guidance for key business decisions.
• Support continuous process improvement and digital finance initiatives.
• Drive ERP utilization and identify automation opportunities; SAP FI/CO preferred.

MIS & Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS, Plant P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and KPI dashboards.

Audit & Compliance

Fixed Assets Management

• Manage capitalization, CWIP, depreciation, asset register, and physical verification.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and statutory requirements related to fixed assets.

Business Partnering

• Work closely with the Plant Head and cross-functional leadership teams to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Provide commercial insights and financial guidance for key business decisions.
• Support continuous process improvement and digital finance initiatives.

ERP & Process Excellence

• Drive effective utilization of ERP systems (preferably SAP FI/CO).
• Identify automation opportunities and implement best practices in finance processes.

Preferred candidate profile

We are looking for professionals who possess:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or MBA In Finance.
• 9-13 years of experience in Manufacturing Finance or Plant Finance. Corporate Finance might also work.
• Strong expertise in Financial Controllership, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, FP&A, MIS, Working Capital Management, Inventory Accounting, Internal Controls, and Statutory Compliance.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI/CO.
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence strategic decision-making.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
