Vertex Corporate, on behalf of a leading multinational manufacturing client, seeks a Finance Controller (Plant Operations) to drive financial governance across manufacturing locations. The role focuses on costing, inventory valuation, budgeting, fixed assets, capex planning, and plant performance management.

You will standardize finance processes, strengthen controls, and provide strategic insights for operational decisions.

Qualifications

• CA/CMA qualification with post-qualification experience in manufacturing finance.
• Exposure to multiproduct process-oriented manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Financial controlling and management of plant operations.
• Lead financial governance across manufacturing locations including costing, inventory valuation, budgeting, and capex planning.
• Drive standardization of plant finance processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide strategic insights for operational decision-making and drive performance dashboards.
• Manage monthly reviews of variable costs, overheads, and working capital optimization.
• Oversee capex budgets and spend, audits, and periodic control reviews.
• Support plant leadership with actionable financial insights and fiscal incentive activities.

Finance Controller (Plant Operations) (Leading MNC Manufacturing Co)

Role:

• The job role primarily comprises Financial Controlling and management of Plant operations for the Company
• This role will lead financial governance across the Company's manufacturing locations, ensuring robust costing, inventory valuation, budgeting, fixed asset management, capex planning and monitoring, and plant performance management.
• The role will drive standardization of plant finance processes, strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks, and provide strategic insights for operational decision-making.
• Drive monthly review and analysis & reporting of Variable Cost by SKU for all Plants
• Drive variance analysis against Budget, Forecast, Standard Cost, and Prior Year.
• Drive monthly analysis of Overheads for operational efficiencies and control over exceptional costs
• Maintain, review and Monitor Capex budget and Capex Spends for the Business
• Digitization projects for process and productivity improvements
• Drive Digital projects in Plant Finance
• Drive Working capital optimization
• Support plant leadership in decision-making through actionable financial insights.
• Drive, review and monitor Fiscal incentive related activities
• Identify cost optimization opportunities across manufacturing operations.
• Establish common reporting structures and performance dashboards across plants.
• Monthly Balance Sheet Review
• Monthly AP and AR reviews
• Statutory audits and Group audits
• Fixed Asset management
• Conduct periodic control reviews and risk assessments.
• The role reports to the CFO
• The role requires 40% travel during the month

Requirements:

• Educational qualification: CA / CMA
• Approximately 12 - 15 years of relevant post qualification experience
• Sound exposure to multiproduct process oriented manufacturing environment
• Agile finance partner for Operations and SCM
• Strong communication and analytical skills
