Job summary

Innover in Bengaluru, India seeks a Global Trade Compliance expert with 6–8 years of experience in HTS classification, export/import auditing, and sanctions screening.

You will review BOMs, part descriptions, and external sources to categorize Lam Materials for tariff codes across US, Europe, and Asia, ensuring compliance with US regs, FTZs, and FTAs. Proficiency in SAP-GTS, Excel, PowerApps, and Power BI is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and global trade/Logistics certification are required.
• 6–8 years of experience in HTS classification, export/import auditing, and trade compliance.
• Experience with US export compliance, sanctions screening, and FTAs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Review parts specifications, BOMs, descriptions, and websites to categorize Lam Materials by tariff classifications.
• Classify HTS for mechanical, electrical, and electronics items in semiconductor industries.
• Assign categories to parts and align with Foreign Trade on ongoing classifications.
• Audit Import/Export Customs entries across US, Europe, and Asia; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on US government regulations, FTZs, and FTAs (KORUS, USMCA, AKFTA).
• Screen sanctioned parties and communicate findings to Global Trade teams.

JobDescription/Primary Responsibilities

• Experience in US Exportcompliance and Asia Regional compliance
  
• Responsibilitiesinclude review of parts specifications, bills of materials(BOM),descriptions, and external web sites to categorize Lam Materials intocategories that have been previously defined by Global Trade. These categories correspond to tariff classifications in countries whereLam does business
  
• Reviewing individualparts & Harmonized Tariff Schedule(HTS) classification for differentkind of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics items (semiconductorIndustry)
  
• Designating a categoryto each respective part,
  
• Engaging Foreign Tradeon periodic review to align on categorizations, and
  
• Alerting Foreign Tradeof parts that do not conform to any existing designations
  
• Foreign Trade willprovide initial instruction on job expectations and ongoing feedback onhow to interpret the categories for which Lam Materials will be assigned.
  
• Import/Export Customsentry audit for all regions(US, Europe, Asia)
  
• Knowledge on USGovernment regulations on all aspects of International Import/Export Trade
  
• Knowledge on Free TradeAgreement and validate eligibilities (KORUS, USMCA, AKFTA etc)
  
• Knowledge on US FTZ (FreeTrade Zone) & Malaysia LMW process(Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse)
  
• Sanctionedpartyscreening
  

Mandatory Skillsrequired to perform the job

• Technical knowledge ofsemiconductor or comparable industries, including familiarity with Billsof Materials
  
• Familiarity with readingtechnical specifications, engineering drawing, datasheets
  
• Detailed oriented,strong analytical skills, and agility to multi-task in a fast-pacedenvironment.
