Job summary

Siemens Energy India is seeking a seasoned Site Manager for EHV AIS/GIS projects in Maharashtra. The role focuses on supervising installation, commissioning, and handover of extensions, with emphasis on safety and contract adherence.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, ensure milestones are met, and provide field leadership to delivery teams. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of site management in electrical infrastructure, HV/MV experience, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in electrical engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years practical experience as responsible Site Manager.
• Experience with high voltage/substation projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, commissioning and handover of AIS/GIS Extension projects.
• Provide customer support and recommendations based on the customer’s environment.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions and manage variations & change orders.
• Monitor delivery milestones, timelines and quality within project budget.
• Negotiate contracts with multiple subcontractors and suppliers.
• Risk and claim management with mitigation strategies.
• Occasional travel for FATs and factory visits as required.
• Adhere to Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm health and safety policy.

How You'll Make an Impact

• He/she should handle individual projects Site.
• He/she should have hands on experience in EHV AIS/GIS projects. AIS/GIS substation Extensions / R&M / green field projects.
• Responsibility for Supervision of Installation, Commissioning and hand over of AIS/GIS Extension projects.
• Provide support to the customer at all times, including providing recommendations based on a thorough understanding of the customer’s business and operational environment.
• Ensuring commercial contract conditions and timelines are met, including management of contract variations & change management.
• Practical experience on installation, testing and commissioning work for high voltage and/or medium voltage switchgear (design and / or delivery).
• Monitoring & control of the project, including necessary interventions, to ensure achievement of delivery milestones, timelines & quality within the project budget.
• Rigorously monitor and negotiate requirements and fulfilment of project specific conditions with multiple subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiation and agreement of contracts.
• Risk management, claim management including development & implementation of suitable technical & commercial mitigation strategies.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and timely reporting of project status against project targets.
• Occasionally travelling, eg. FAT, Factory visit with customers based on project requirement.
• Strictly complying to Siemens’s Zero Harm policy in environment, health and safety at all time by regularly checking compliance of projects and with subcontractors.
• Basic civil and structural knowledge & hands on Commissioning experience in AIS/GIS project would be an advantage.
