Job summary

Rudrabhishek Enterprises is seeking a skilled GIS Engineer to manage and maintain GIS servers, databases, applications, and related infrastructure for electricity distribution networks.

You will develop, customize, and maintain GIS applications and web-based GIS solutions, handle spatial databases and network mapping, and ensure data accuracy and consistency across utility projects while coordinating with field teams for validation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain GIS servers, databases, applications, and related infrastructure.
• Develop, customize, and maintain GIS applications and web-based GIS solutions.
• Manage spatial databases, GIS layers, geospatial datasets, and network mapping.
• Handle GIS mapping and analysis of electricity distribution networks, including HT/LT lines, poles, distribution transformers, substations, and consumer connections.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of GIS data related to utility networks.
• Integrate GIS data with other utility management systems, survey portals, and related applications.
• Troubleshoot GIS server and application issues and ensure system availability.
• Coordinate with field survey teams, technical teams, and project stakeholders for data validation and updates.
• Prepare GIS maps, spatial reports, dashboards, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, GIS standards, and data management procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates with substantial experience in GIS projects involving electricity distribution networks, utility mapping, GIS server administration, and GIS application development will be preferred. Experience in managing large-scale utility GIS projects and coordinating with field survey teams will be an added advantage.
