Job summary

Abacus Service in Bengaluru seeks a GIS Developer to design, build, test, and deploy GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro. You will collect requirements from cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality, automated GIS solutions.

The role involves developing ArcGIS Pro AddIns, ESri SDK-based extensions, and arcpy scripts for data processing, validation, and migration tasks while maintaining scalable, well-documented codebases.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues related to GIS data processing, mapping, and visualization.
• Develop Python scripts for automating tasks and integrating with other systems.
• Develop and customize ArcGIS Pro AddIns and GIS applications to meet business and project needs
• Design and develop custom ArcGIS Pro AddIns using Esri SDKs to extend native GIS capabilities
• Develop Python (arcpy) scripts and tools for bulk data processing and automation, LRS route and event management, and data validation, transformation, and quality checks.
• Build reusable custom geoprocessing tools, scripts, and workflows
• Perform APDM to UPDM model conversion through scripted data mapping and migration
• Develop utilities and scripts for UPDM data creation, updates, and consistency checks; Support deployment and automation in ArcGIS Enterprise environments (Server, Portal)
• Optimize scripts and addins for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to custom GIS applications
• Maintain wellstructured, version-controlled code and detailed technical documentation; Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision making
