Job summary

Siemens Energy in India is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to deliver engineering and design work for service projects on generator rotor and brushless exciters. You will develop instructions for service repairs, modernization and replacement, and research equipment histories to guide modernizations.

The role requires NX CAD expertise, with Creo as a plus, plus strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, DFA/DFM and familiarization with SAP OPP and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with 3–7 years of industrial experience.
• Hands-on experience with NX CAD is required; Creo is a plus.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, DFA/DFM.
• Knowledge of SAP OPP transactions and Teamcenter is desirable.
• Familiarity with generator products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & design work for service projects related to generator rotor and brushless exciters.
• Develop detailed engineering instructions for service repair, modernization and replacement of generator rotor and exciter products.
• Research service history to specify appropriate modernizations.
• Create design specifications and initiate revisions to upgrade products.
• Participate in the Design Reviews to ensure the achievement of technical requirements of engineering projects.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel through clear verbal and written instructions, specifications and reports.

• Engineering & Design work for Service Engineering projects related to Generator Rotor and Brushless exciters
• Develop detailed engineering instructions to support manufacturing operations associated with the service repair, modernization and replacement of generator rotor and exciter products.
• Research service history of equipment to specify appropriate modernizations.
• Create design specifications and initiate revisions to upgrade products.
• Participate in the Design Reviews to ensure the achievement of technical requirements of engineering projects.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel through clear verbal and written instructions, specifications and reports.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with 3 - 7 years of industrial experience
• Hands on Experience on CAD Tool NX is must; Experience on Creo (ProE) will be added advantage
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, DFA/DFM
• Good knowledge of Strength of Materials, Mechanical Design Concepts, Machine Designs
• Knowledge on SAP OPP transactions, & Teamcenter
• Knowledge of Generator product (components and functioning) is desired
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and Team Player
