Generalist, Founding Team

Deployment Inc; Delhi; On-site; INR 1,200,000 - 2,400,000; Full time

Job summary

Deployment Inc, India’s first forward-deployed AI firm, invites you to define and own a lane in a company that is weeks old and still building its foundation. You will shape what the firm becomes and demonstrate impact from day one.

Move between engineering, GTM, strategy and operations as deployment demands, without waiting for a handoff. Build the internal machinery of the firm before it exists, including hiring, operations, brand, and tooling. Your ownership trajectory starts now.

Qualifications

• Evidence you build things without being asked: projects, companies, communities, tools, anything real.
• Range across disciplines, plus one spike deep enough that specialists respect you in it.
• Speed and ownership in ambiguous environments, where the brief was a sentence and the result was still excellent.
• A clear, specific answer to the only question on this page: what would you own here?

Responsibilities

• Define your own lane, then own it end to end: the goal, the plan, the execution and the number that says it worked.

Job description

Deployment Inc is India's first forward-deployed AI firm, built to close the distance between what AI can do and what actually runs inside the country's largest businesses. We are backed by Cars24, recognized as an OpenAI Select Partner, and we work shoulder to shoulder with the best enterprises and AI labs in the world. The founding team we are assembling now will define how this category is practised in India.

About the role

Every founding team has people who mattered more than any job description, and none of them were hired against one. This listing is for you if you read the other four and thought: I could do half of that, and three things they have not listed yet. Tell us what you would own. The strongest generalist applications name something specific: a function we will need before we know it, a market we should be in, a system we should have built last month. Range is the qualification, and ownership is the job.

What you will do

• Define your own lane, then own it end to end: the goal, the plan, the execution and the number that says it worked.
• Move between engineering, GTM, strategy and operations as the deployment demands, without waiting for a handoff.
• Build the internal machinery of the firm before it exists: hiring, operations, brand, tooling, whatever is missing next.
• Earn scope fast. The firm is weeks old; what you own in month six depends entirely on what you did in month one.

What we look for

• Evidence you build things without being asked: projects, companies, communities, tools, anything real.
• Range across disciplines, plus one spike deep enough that specialists respect you in it.
• Speed and ownership in ambiguous environments, where the brief was a sentence and the result was still excellent.
• A clear, specific answer to the only question on this page: what would you own here?

Nice to have

• Anything of yours we can read, run or try before we meet.
