Job summary

Gushwork is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in Bengaluru to own end-to-end customer delivery, from discovery to live product. You will design and build solutions using Claude Code and other AI tools, and work closely with customers to understand how their business works and how to deploy software that they use daily.

The role is hands-on and customer-facing, requiring on-site presence in Bengaluru, ability to coordinate with US customers, and a passion for shipping with the latest AI coding

Qualifications

• 1–2 years delivering software to customers.
• Built and deployed at least one full web app.
• Familiar with modern application frameworks.
• Proficient with AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
• Comfortable with cloud deployment and databases.
• Based in Bengaluru and onsite; able to overlap US hours.

About Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you own the whole job for a customer: understand the problem, design the solution, build it with Claude Code and other AI coding tools, roll it out, and keep it running.

This is a hands-on role that sits close to the customer. You will talk to them, understand how their business works, and turn that into software they use every day. You own what you build, from the first line of code to live in production.

You will not be one small cog in a large system. You will ship whole things.

This role is for you if

• You have worked as a solutions engineer, implementation engineer, or in a similar delivery role, and you now want to build the product, not just configure it
• You like being in front of customers and owning delivery end-to-end
• You want to ship with the newest AI coding tools and grow fast

What you will do

• Run discovery with customers to understand how their business works and what they need
• Design the solution, then build it using Claude Code or similar AI harnesses
• Take a customer problem and turn it into a working product, end to end
• Roll out and onboard the product with the customer, and train their team to use it
• Deploy and maintain what you build on our stack
• Fix bugs, add features, and keep customer products running and reliable
• Work with customers and internal teams to scope what to build next
• Answer customer queries about how their product works and how their data is handled

What we are looking for

• 1 to 2 years of experience building or delivering software for customers. This can be as a software engineer, solutions engineer, implementation engineer, or similar.
• You have built and deployed at least one full web app, at work or as a personal project
• You are comfortable with modern application frameworks
• You already use AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, and you are good at it
• You can work with a database and deploy to the cloud
• You are good with customers. You can run a call, ask the right questions, and explain things simply.
• You are based in Bengaluru and can work onsite
• You are comfortable with working hours that overlap with US customers
