Job summary

Swiggy is seeking the GM-Strategy & Investments to partner with finance, business teams, and CXOs to articulate business plans and targets. The role involves exploring M&A opportunities and guiding build-vs-buy decisions, with cross-functional coordination for successful outcomes.

You will engage with investment banking experts and senior leaders to evaluate targets and support integration efforts across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related technical field.
• CA with diligence experience will be considered.
• MBA or equivalent degree preferred but not mandatory.
• 8+ years of work experience, with at least 2+ years in investment banking or corporate development.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis; develop comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses in support of potential transactions.
• Work with business units to assess and prioritize transactions to align with growth plans.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and recommendations for senior management and board meetings.
• Collaborate with finance, legal teams and investment banking experts to support due diligence.
• Investigate and evaluate mergers and acquisition opportunities including identifying prospects.

Role Brief ::

The GM-Strategy & Investments would be working closely with the finance, business teams and CXOs in articulating the broad business plans and targets for the company. He/ She would also work with relevant stakeholders in exploring opportunities pertaining to M&A.

Team Brief:

The S&I team identifies white spaces in focus and adjacent categories, builds a \"where to play, how to win\" thesis, and makes the build-vs-buy call — deciding whether to build a capability in-house or pursue it through investment, acquisition, or partnership. Beyond sourcing the right targets, the team stays accountable for integration, providing strategic and operational support to ensure each initiative succeeds

Job Responsibilities:-

• Perform detailed financial analysis; develop comprehensive financial models and valuation analysis in support of potential transactions


• Work with business units to assess and prioritize transactions to best align with business strategy and growth plans.


• Assist in the preparation of presentations and recommendations for senior management review and for board meetings


• Work closely with finance, legal teams and investment banking experts to support the due-diligence process


• Investigate and evaluate mergers and acquisition opportunities including but not limited to identifying prospects

Education / Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related technical degree


• Chartered Accountants with prior experience in diligence processes will also be considered


• MBA or equivalent degree is preferred but not mandatory


• 8+ years of work-experience, with at least 2+ years of working in investment banking, corporate development, venture capital investing is preferred
