Qualifications

  • Previous experience in roles such as General Manager, COO, Site Head, India Head, Operations Director, GBS Leader or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation and continuous enhancement of the GCC operating model.
  • Drive operational excellence, scalability, governance effectiveness and organisational efficiency.
  • Oversee legal entity governance, Board processes and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership across financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax and financial controls.
  • Establish robust risk management, operational resilience, business continuity and compliance frameworks.
  • Lead and develop India-based Corporate Functions, ensuring strong alignment with business priorities and global standards.
  • Support large-scale transformation programmes, organisational change initiatives and strategic execution.
  • Build strong partnerships with executive stakeholders, Group functions, regulators, advisors and Board members.
  • Foster a high-performance culture centred on accountability, collaboration, inclusion and leadership development.
  • Ensure effective governance reporting and provide strategic insight to leadership and Board stakeholders.

Job Description

The General Manager Operations will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for ensuring the India GCC operates efficiently, compliantly and in alignment with global strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

The Successful Applicant
Experience
  • 15-25 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Significant experience within multinational corporations, GCC/GBS environments, financial services or other regulated industries.

  • Experience building high-performing leadership teams and succession pipelines.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Tools & Systems Exposure
  • Experience with enterprise financial and governance platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, ERP systems, risk and compliance management tools, reporting platforms and governance frameworks.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA, CA, CFA, CPA or other relevant postgraduate/professional qualifications highly preferred.
