Job summary

Kapoor Food India is seeking a General Manager to oversee the entire factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, utilities, stores, dispatch, and administration. You will also supervise IQF processing lines for various vegetables and fruits and manage commissioning of a new facility.

The role demands 15–20 years in food processing/factory operations with exposure to IQF and cold chain operations.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience in food processing / factory operations.
• Experience in IQF processing and cold chain operations is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, utilities, stores, dispatch and administration.
• Oversee commissioning and stabilization of the new food processing facility.
• Manage IQF processing lines for peas, sweet corn, French beans, carrots and other seasonal produce.
• Supervise fruit pulping operations, including mango, tomato and other seasonal produce.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, quality and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS and customer quality requirements.
• Develop SOPs and ensure process compliance.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics and supply chain teams.
• Lead and mentor production and engineering teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology / Food Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering

• Implement production planning and inventory management systems.
• Maintain compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS and customer quality requirements.
• Ensure smooth operation of cold storage, refrigeration systems and utilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, quality and cost optimization.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure process compliance.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics and supply chain teams.
• Lead and mentor production and engineering teams.
• Ensure statutory, environmental and safety compliance.

Qualification & Experience : -

• Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related discipline or MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain will be an added advantage or Experience in IQF processing and cold chain operations or Experience in commissioning or managing greenfield food processing plants
