Job summary

Sundaram Finance Limited in Chennai invites applications for a financial accounting role to manage monthly financial reporting, including preparation of final accounts, notes to the accounts, and cash flow statements for RBI return filing.

You will handle MIS analysis, consolidation with subsidiaries and JVs, branch and division profitability reporting, COA maintenance, related party disclosures, schedules verification, and projections, while coordinating with the Finance team and Internal Audit

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Final Accounts - To prepare monthly Financial Statements of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, Notes to the Accounts and Cash Flow Statement for RBI return filing within the stipulated time.
• Monthly MIS preparation and analysis of Variances
• Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements - To gather Financials from Subsidiaries, Joint Ventures / Associate Companies for the purpose of Consolidation of Financial Statements P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
• Branch Profit / Activity / Division wise Profit Report - To submit monthly branch profitability reports and activity profitability reports to Management.
• Maintenance of Chart Of Accounts – To maintain Chart Of Accounts-creation of new account codes, branch codes , cost centre / profit centre codes
• Related Party Report – To collate data from Subsidiary / Joint venture / Associate Companies for disclosure of Related Party Transactions as a part of Financial Statements
• Verification of Schedules to Accounts – To verify and vouch the schedules to Accounts quarterly.
• Exception Reports – To provide exception report to Management
• Projections : To prepare projections for future periods.
• Commitment for Capital Expenditure – To provide the capital commitment for project related work with breakup of amount paid / balance to be paid monthly for Cash Flow to Finance Team
• Reply to Internal Audit Reports- Replying to Internal Audit Observations
