Job summary

Talent Sketchers LLC in Bengaluru (Hybrid) seeks a senior Gearbox CAE Engineer to lead Strength & Durability FEA for transmission systems, with 9+ years of experience. You will model with Altair HyperMesh/SimLab, perform linear and nonlinear analyses, interpret results, and prepare technical reports per Magna Powertrain specs.

Immediate joiners only; the role requires delivering high-quality simulations and concise design recommendations to optimize transmission components for hybrid powertrains.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transmission system principles and basic structural durability concepts.
• Strong understanding of Strength of Materials, FEM and fatigue analysis.
• Experience with linear and nonlinear CAE simulations.
• Familiarity with preparation and interpretation of FEM results.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and analyzing transmission systems through 3D FEM modeling.
• Assess loads, stresses and life for powertrain components.
• Evaluate housing and components for hybrid/electric designs using simulations.
• Preprocess geometry with HyperMesh/SimLab; set boundary conditions.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks

• Modelling and analyzing transmission systems through 3D FEM Modeling using Altair HyperWorks.
• Analyzing powertrain components for loads, stresses, and Lifetime.
• Calculating housing and other transmission components for hybrid and electric powertrain designs using simulation tools.
• Preprocessing of geometry in Altair HyperMesh/SimLab.
• Defining boundary conditions, perform Postprocessing and check for plausibility and Interpretation of simulation results.
• Creating reports according to Magna Powertrain specifications and templates, including recommendations and proposals for design optimization.
• Writing technical documents and presenting the results in an efficient manner.
