Job summary

Indosculp Autocomp is seeking an experienced GDC Manager to lead end-to-end Aluminium Gravity Die Casting operations for automotive two-wheeler components, including shock absorber bottom cases and similar aluminium cast parts.

The role requires 10–15 years of total manufacturing experience with 5–7+ years hands-on GDC experience, strong metallurgy knowledge and proven shop-floor leadership. Location is Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of aluminium melting and GDC process control.
• Experience with automotive/two-wheeler components preferred.
• Hands-on leadership and problem-solving on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end aluminium gravity die casting operations, including melting, casting, die setting and process control.
• Achieve QCD, OEE, productivity and delivery targets.
• Drive reduction of defects such as porosity, shrinkage, cold shut and blow holes.
• Lead RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and 8D for rejection and customer complaints.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and lead engineers, supervisors and contract manpower.

GDC Manager Aluminium Gravity Die Casting | Automotive 2-Wheeler Components

Location: Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra
Experience: 10–15 Years | Relevant GDC: 5–7+ Years
Industry: Automotive – Two-Wheeler Components

We are looking for an experienced GDC Manager to lead end-to-end Aluminium Gravity Die Casting (GDC) operations for automotive two-wheeler components, including Shock Absorber Bottom Cases and similar aluminium cast components.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete GDC production, melting, casting, die setting and process control.
• Achieve QCD, OEE, productivity and delivery targets.
• Control critical parameters such as metal temperature, die temperature, pouring, die coating, filling, solidification and cycle time.
• Drive reduction of porosity, shrinkage, cold shut, blow holes, cracks, inclusions, dimensional and surface defects.
• Lead RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and 8D for rejection and customer complaints.
• Improve OEE, metal yield, cycle time, die life, manpower productivity and cost per component.
• Manage die maintenance, die trials, modifications and new die development.
• Lead GDC engineers, supervisors, operators and contract manpower.
• Support NPD, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA activities.
• Coordinate with Quality, PPC, Tool Room, Maintenance, Machining and other functions.
• Drive Kaizen, TPM, 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Must-Have Experience

• 10–15 years total manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 5–7 years hands‑on Aluminium Gravity Die Casting experience.
• Strong knowledge of aluminium melting, metallurgy, GDC process control and casting defect analysis.
• Experience in automotive / two‑wheeler components preferred.
• Shock Absorber Bottom Case / suspension components / brackets / housings experience will be highly preferred.
• Experience with Tier‑1 automotive customers is an advantage.
• Strong shop‑floor leadership and hands‑on problem‑solving capability.

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy / Manufacturing / Foundry Technology.
