Job summary

Alike Thoughts is seeking a GCP DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You will leverage Terraform or Deployment Manager for IaC, and develop CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.

Responsibilities include managing GKE, implementing monitoring and logging, and enforcing security with IAM and network controls. Candidates should have strong GCP skills, scripting ability, and experience with CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with core GCP services including GKE, Compute Engine and Cloud Run.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds and maintains scalable, secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using IaC and CI/CD automation.
• Provisions and manages GCP infrastructure using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Develops, maintains and optimizes CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build) for automated testing and deployment.
• Deploys and manages applications with Docker and GKE.
• Implements logging, monitoring and security best practices (IAM, roles, network security).
• Monitors costs and performance, and tunes for scalability and reliability.

Job Summary

A GCP DevOps Engineer designs builds and maintains scalable secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Infrastructure as Code Terraform and CICD automation Responsibilities include optimizing GCP resources managing Kubernetes GKE monitoring system performance Cloud Logging Monitoring and implementing security best practices IAM to ensure high availability

Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure as Code IaC

• Provision and manage GCP infrastructure Compute Engine VPC Cloud Storage SQL using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager

CICD Pipelines

• Develop maintain and optimize CICD pipelines Jenkins GitLab CI Cloud Build for automated testing and deployment

Container Orchestration

• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine GKE

Monitoring Observability

• Implement logging monitoring and ing using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging formerly Stackdriver

Security Compliance

• Manage IAM roles service accounts and network security to ensure a secure compliant environment

Optimization

• Monitor costs and system performance implementing improvements for scalability and reliability

Required Skills Qualifications

GCP Proficiency

• Strong experience with core GCP services GKE Compute Engine Cloud Run

Automation Tools

• Extensive knowledge of Terraform Ansible or Puppet

• Experience with Cloud Build Jenkins or GitHub Actions
