Job summary

Woodbuzz Furniture is seeking an experienced production supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our furniture factory. You will supervise workers, ensure efficient production, maintain quality standards, and meet delivery timelines.

The ideal candidate has hands-on furniture manufacturing experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to optimise production processes to drive productivity and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of furniture manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of production processes and materials (wood, laminates).
• Ability to read technical drawings/designs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities and manage the factory workforce.
• Plan tasks to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Ensure quality standards throughout furniture manufacturing.
• Monitor raw materials usage, reduce waste, and control inventory.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and dispatch teams.
• Train and motivate shop-floor workers to boost productivity.
• Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and suggest improvements.
• Maintain daily production records and report progress.
• Ensure machinery is properly maintained and serviced.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities and manage the workforce in the factory.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor tasks to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards at every stage of furniture manufacturing.
• Monitor usage of raw materials, minimise wastage, and ensure proper inventory control.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and dispatch teams for smooth operations.
• Train, guide, and motivate shop-floor workers to achieve productivity targets.
• Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the factory.
• Troubleshoot production issues and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain daily production records and report progress to management.
• Ensure machinery and tools are properly maintained and serviced on time.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in any stream.
• 3–6 years of experience in the furniture or wood manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, materials (wood, laminates, hardware, upholstery), and machinery.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings/designs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and focus on quality and efficiency.
• Working knowledge of MS Office / ERP systems is an advantage.
