Job summary

Nexdigm is seeking an accounting professional in Mumbai to handle FPI/AIF fund accounting and tax-related tasks. The role involves NAV preparation, remittance certificates, and assisting with tax returns, with coordination across clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have solid Excel skills and familiarity with Tally or Miles, and a willingness to learn in a growing professional services environment in India.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and tax planning for FPIs/AIF funds.
• Preparation of daily/monthly NAV and tax computations.
• Assistance in preparing tax returns and withholding tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounting under Tally/Miles for FPI/AIF funds.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly tax computations for FPIs/AIF funds.
• Prepare NAVs and remittance certificates as per IT Act provisions.
• Assist in submissions for Income-tax authorities during assessments.
• Coordinate with clients and maintain documentation/logs for billing.

Role specific skillsets:

The incumbent will be responsible for:

• Accounting under Tally/ Miles/ or other software for FPI, AIF, funds etc
• Preparing daily/weekly/monthly tax computation for FPI, AIF funds
• Preparation of daily/monthly NAV
• Responsible for preparing remittance certificates as per provisions of the Income tax Act in a time bound manner (understanding taxation of capital gains and interest income of FPIs).
• Assistance in preparing tax returns, withholding tax returns etc
• Assisting in preparing submissions for filing with Income-tax authorities during assessment / appellate / other proceedings.
• Coordination with the client, if required.
• Administration matters including documentation, maintaining of log for billing, etc.
• Reconciliation of Data
