Job summary

Capco in Chennai seeks an experienced Senior Tester to drive testing across Core Banking and related interfaces, including TEMENOS TRANSACT.

You will define test strategies, plans, cases and reports, manage test data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure quality and timely delivery of complex

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including automation, with exposure to banking or financial services domains.
• Experience in test automation across UI (on-screen), API and data validation layers.
• Hands-on with TEMENOS TRANSACT Core Banking familiarity is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of transactional processing, settlement and accounting concepts in financial products.

Responsibilities

• Proactively design and implement test strategy, plan, test cases and test completion reports with sign-off.
• Manage and maintain test data to ensure reproducible results across runs.
• Collaborate with external and internal partners to ensure quality across complex, interlinked banking applications.
• Lead non-functional tests including performance and security validations as required.

• Core Banking Platform, for Wealth Management (TEMENOS TRANSACT)


• Transversal topics involving other domains and interfaced applications.

Responsibilities And Skills Required:

• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal third-parties to analyze testing requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Completion Report and sign-off, exception reporting and follow-up.


• Excellent knowledge and relevant experience in test automation tools and techniques, both for data entry and for comparison of test results (e.g. on screen, REST APIs, in reports, in database, performance and scalability tests)


• Experience in managing and maintaining test data, which allows reproducible results and comparison between successive test runs


• Strong analytical and quick learning skills required, to handle test cases in a rich and complex architecture with many interconnected applications


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, managers, subject matter experts and technical teams.

Customer/Supplier Relations:

WMIS (Wealth Management Information Systems organization):

• WM IT Hub (in Chennai and Singapore) and WMIS in other locations (Switzerland, Lisbon, Paris, etc)


• Engineering and Infrastructure teams


• Community of testers in the organization

Out Of WMIS:

• Business user community, and in particular Operations teams in respective sites, and all other Business representatives who may be connected to Core Banking activities

Contributing Responsibilities

• Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Strong proficiency with Testing tools, test automation and software quality tools:

• Expert in various testing techniques, and achieving maximum automation for non-regression tests


• UFT, Selenium, Appium, PostMan, etc


• Performance testing : JMeter


• ALM, JIRA, Service Now


• Functional tests, Non Functional Requirements, Security, Performance, Robustness, Middleware testing (MQ, batch processing, REST APIs)

At least 5

years of experience in :

• Software testing domain, as a Senior Tester or Manager


• Of which 2 to 3 years in state of the art testing automation


• Banking Industry, as a Tester and Test Manager


• Knowledge and Experience in TEMENOS TRANSACT Core Banking Product


• Core Banking processes and features :


• Strong knowledge of transaction capture, settlement and accounting booking


• Strong knowledge of financial products flows and on their underlying (Securities, Payments, Money Markets, Foreign Exchange, Credit, Derivatives and Structured Products, Commodities, Mutual Funds)


• Corporate actions processing


• Payment and transaction settlement systems (SWIFT, SEPA, local domestic systems in Europe and in Asia)

Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Proficient with Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Visio

Specific Qualifications:

Prior knowledge and experience on TEMENOS TRANSACT (a.k.a T24) Core Banking System is a strong plus.
