Job summary

Innova Solutions in Pune seeks a QA tester to analyze business and functional requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios and cases. The role involves coordinating test data, executing tests, and validating defect fixes across SIT, UAT, PPT, PPV, and production validation.

You will maintain traceability, ensure coverage, and collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of testing life cycle and methodologies.
• Experience coordinating test activities across SIT, UAT, PPT, and production validation.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to design test scenarios and cases.
• Prepare test data for functional and integration testing.
• Execute functional tests, document results, capture evidence.
• Log, track, retest, and validate defect fixes through closure.
• Support SIT, UAT, PPT, PPV, regression, and production validation.

• Use Octane, Jira, Confluence for planning, execution, reporting.
• Leverage automation and API testing tools (Ginger, Selenium, Postman).
• Use GenAI tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to boost testing productivity.

Role & responsibilities

1. Analyze business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
2. Coordinate and prepare test data required for functional and integration testing activities.
3. Execute functional test cases, document results, and capture test evidence in the designated test management tools.
4. Log, track, retest, and validate defect fixes through closure using established defect management processes.
5. Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Pre-Production Testing (PPT), Pre-Production Validation (PPV), Regression Testing, and Production Validation.
6. Maintain requirements traceability and ensure complete test coverage across all functional areas.
7. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure quality deliverables.
8. Utilize test management tools such as Octane, Jira, and Confluence for planning, execution, and reporting.
9. Leverage automation and API testing tools including Amdocs Ginger, Selenium with Java, and Postman to support testing activities.
10. Use GenAI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, and Claude to improve test design, documentation, analysis, and overall testing productivity.
