Job summary

BorgWarner Bangalore Tech Center seeks an experienced Functional Safety Lead with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in ISO26262 across systems, hardware, software and production. You will derive FS requirements for transmission, inverter, DC-DC, and on-board charger, and develop safety concepts and safety requirements for electrification subsystems.

You will support the system architecture, interface with global experts, manage requirements in Polarion, and guide verification teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Deep Expertise in Functional Safety (4+ years in FS, developing TSC/FSR/TSR/HSR/SSR).
• ISO26262 external audit experience and gap analysis.
• Excellent requirements elicitation capabilities.
• Experience in leading teams and handling customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Functional Safety team with technical guidance on ISO26262 across Systems, HW, SW and Production/Operation.
• Derive Functional Safety Requirements for Transmission, Inverter, DC-DC, on-board charger and other PS subsystems.
• Develop Technical Safety Concept and Safety Requirements for electrification product lines.
• Support System Architect in System Architecture Design for Transmission and Inverter subsystems.
