Role Overview
An ISO 26262 Safety Manager acc. TRATON processes is responsible for leading functional safety activities across the entire product lifecycle of an electric/electronical system. In our case it is for electrical high voltage power take-off (ePTO/emPTO) and power distribution (VCB) applications. They define safety concepts, organize safety plans, and compile safety cases to ensure automotive electronic systems comply with strict international and internal TRATON Group standards.
Responsibilities
- Management of systems functional safety in innovative development projects according to ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and ISO 21448.
- Moderate hazard analyses such as HARA and HAZOP and safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA and DFA.
- Work on the safety of system design of electronic systems for various technologies e-mobility systems like electrical high voltage power take-off (ePTO/emPTO) and power distribution (VCB) applications.
- Manage safety requirements throughout the whole safety lifecycle.
- Contribute to the functional safety vehicle testing in renowned TRATON projects.
- Manage the supplier interface with respect to functional safety or SOTIF.
- Perform reviews, safety assessments and safety audits.
