Job summary

BorgWarner Bangalore Tech Center seeks a Senior Functional Safety Technical Leader with 10–12 years in Power Electronics and Electronics. You will lead the Functional Safety team, guide ISO26262 Part4-6 activities, and derive safety requirements for transmission, inverter and other subsystems.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Power Electronics/Electronics/Communication/Electrical
• 10–12 years of experience in Functional Safety leadership
• ISO26262 external audit experience and gap analysis
• Experience in handling customers and leading teams
• Vehicle and dynamometer testing experience
• Experience with power electronics controllers for battery/inverter management and motor maneuvering

Senior Functional Safety Technical Leader

Location : Tech Center , Bangalore
B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Power Electronics/Electronics/Communication/Electrical
Experience: 10 to 12 years .

• Lead the Functional Safety team by providing technical guidance on ISO26262 Part4 (Systems Level), Part 5 and Part6 by doing hands on

• Generate power electronics controllers design concept (Product Mechanization).
• Perform change management with the customer and internally (Requirements management in Polarion)
• Generate product functional test plan (compliance testing)
• Perform product functional testing on test bench and dynamometer.
• Guiding the team in the estimation, planning, and execution of safety activities.
• Ensuring that work products are delivered with quality and in accordance with the plan

Major Job Qualifications Experience:

• Deep Expertise in Functional Safety (Minimum 6 years of experience in FS, Developing TSC, FSR, TSR, HSR and SSR).
• ISO26262 external audit experience and gap analysis.
• Vast experience in handling customers and leading teams.
• Vehicle and Dynamometer testing experience.
• Fair knowledge and hands on experience in power electronics controllers used for battery management, inverter management, motor maneuvering & position sensing and DC-DC conversion.
• Cyber security knowledge is an added advantage,.
• L1 ISO 26262 certification
• Deep understanding of System Architecture involved in ECU.
• Good understanding of Electronics circuits in ECU for PE Sub-Sy
• Expertise in microcontroller, its on-chip peripherals and ASIC’s.
• Experience in real-time embedded system design
