Job summary

Wadhwani Foundation in Kanpur seeks a Program Manager to lead the AICTE Indovation Center partnership, driving innovation, incubation, and technology transfer across HEIs. You will coordinate programmes, liaise with stakeholders, and develop IP-related materials and capacity-building initiatives.

Program Manager - AICTE Indovation Center Partnership - Kanpur

Background

The Wadhwani Innovation Network (WIN) is dedicatedto driving innovation, translation and entrepreneurship with a prime objectiveof fast-tracking commercialization of academic research in cutting-edge areassuch as biotechnology, bioengineering, synthetic biology, healthtech,artificial intelligence, semiconductors, spacetech, advanced computing, quantumtechnology, critical minerals and mining.

These transformative initiatives will be implementedthrough strategic partnerships with various academic institutions / incubators/ Government agencies such as AICTE (All India Council for TechnicalEducation).

The Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC),in collaboration with AICTE, has established 13 Indovation Centers across thecountry to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in higher educationinstitutions. These Indovation Centers, operating in a hub-spoke model, aim tofacilitate technology transfer, IPR, commercialization, and provide a one-stopresource for information on innovation and startup schemes. The mission of theWadhwani Innovation Network – AICTE Indovation Center partnership is to accelerateinnovation and translate multi-disciplinary research into new products andstartups.

Experience:

• Morethan three years’ experience in incubation, IP development &commercialization, technology transfer, business development etc. in aresearch or academic environment or in a technology transfer / incubatoroffice/research park etc.
• Coordinationof Innovation Programmes, stakeholder liaison, and HUB-SPOKE operation planimplementation.
• Carryout policy research, analysis and documents, development of reports
• Communicationmaterial development for IP and Technology transfer related activities.
• Designand implement capacity building programs, trainings etc. on regular basis.
