Job summary

The Wadhwani Innovation Network (WIN) invites applications for a Program Manager role in Hyderabad to accelerate innovation and translate multi-disciplinary research into new products and startups. You will coordinate incubation efforts, support IP development and technology transfer, and liaise with AICTE and MIC to strengthen hub-spoke activities across HEIs.

Qualifications

• B.Tech. or MSc in engineering or science, or MBA required.
• Three+ years in incubation, IP development & commercialization, tech transfer or related roles.
• Experience coordinating innovation programmes, stakeholder liaison in HEIs or incubators.
• Ability to develop reports and documents for policy research.
• Design and implement capacity-building programs and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Innovation Programmes and HUB-SPOKE operation plans.
• Carry out policy research, analysis and reports.
• Develop communication material for IP and technology transfer activities.
• Design and implement capacity-building programs and trainings.
• Handhold institutional resources for managing IPRs and technology transfer in SPOKE institutions.
• Assist the manager and Innovation fellows and team members at the Center.
• Support market assessment of identified technologies and stakeholder mapping.
• Build and manage IP repository and technology compendium at center level.
• Promote innovation and entrepreneurship in HEIs.
• Streamline incubation and pre-incubation systems in HEIs.

Background

The Wadhwani Innovation Network (WIN) is dedicatedto driving innovation, translation and entrepreneurship with a prime objectiveof fast-tracking commercialization of academic research in cutting-edge areassuch as biotechnology, bioengineering, synthetic biology, healthtech,artificial intelligence, semiconductors, spacetech, advanced computing, quantumtechnology, critical minerals and mining.

These transformative initiatives will be implementedthrough strategic partnerships with various academic institutions / incubators/ Government agencies such as AICTE (All India Council for TechnicalEducation).

The Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC),in collaboration with AICTE, has established 13 Indovation Centers across thecountry to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in higher educationinstitutions. These Indovation Centers, operating in a hub-spoke model, aim tofacilitate technology transfer, IPR, commercialization, and provide a one-stopresource for information on innovation and startup schemes. The mission of theWadhwani Innovation Network – AICTE Indovation Center partnership is to accelerateinnovation and translate multi-disciplinary research into new products andstartups.
