About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Tech Lead to lead the delivery and operational excellence of customer-facing self‑service portals within the Vodafone Business USD domain. This role plays a critical part in enabling Vodafone’s digital journey by owning end‑to‑end frontend delivery while contributing to backend development using Node.js. The role combines hands‑on technical leadership with accountability for quality, timelines, stakeholder engagement, and operational stability across on‑premise and PaaS platforms.
What you’ll do
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of frontend portal solutions, ensuring high quality, reliability, and timely releases.
- Act as the single point of contact for offshore and onsite teams, enabling effective collaboration and communication.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React.js, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Contribute to backend development using Node.js to support full stack delivery.
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Drive improvements in deployment, testing, and release processes to enhance speed and quality.
- Own and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and run books to support operational excellence.
- Mentor and guide developers, promoting best practices in secure coding, performance optimisation, and testing.
- Proactively troubleshoot critical issues and deliver effective, sustainable solutions.
- Ensure delivery outcomes exceed customer expectations with a strong focus on zero‑defect delivery.
Who you are
- You bring 6+ years of experience in frontend development with React.js, alongside backend expertise in Node.js.
- You have strong hands‑on knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
- You are experienced with state management solutions such as Redux or Context API.
- You understand component lifecycles, hooks, reusable component design, and performance tuning.
- You are proficient with frontend build tools including Webpack, Vite, Babel, and package managers such as npm or yarn.
- You are confident using Git and follow version control best practices.
- You have experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
- You demonstrate strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and clear communication skills.
- You have proven experience leading or mentoring development teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- You are comfortable acting as a bridge between business and IT, translating requirements into effective technical solutions.
