Job summary

Vodafone VOIS is seeking a cloud and DevOps professional to design, implement, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure aligned with CET‑EKS, observability, and Well‑Architected principles. The role emphasizes platform stability, automation, and zero‑touch operations for Vodafone applications.

You will work on GitOps, Terraform, EKS, and cost optimization, helping to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient cloud services in a global Vodafone environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or related discipline.
• Experience in cloud computing or enterprise IT environments.
• Proficiency in AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.
• Comfortable with Git, GitOps, and automation-first approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Develop automation through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Operate and maintain AWS EKS, CET‑EKS, and CET‑EKS‑O11Y platforms, including upgrades.
• Design and deploy hybrid connectivity solutions across CET-based AWS accounts.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters, including capacity, security, and compliance.
• Implement GitOps with GitHub, ArgoCD, Helm charts, and EKS.
• Manage observability platforms, including Grafana dashboards and monitoring stacks.
• Support AWS RDS infrastructure operations, including upgrades and rightsizing.
• Identify and implement cost-optimisation opportunities using AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets.
• Troubleshoot cloud infra issues across networking, storage, performance, and security.
• Maintain infra/docs on Confluence.
• Contribute to DevOps culture, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

About this Role

We are seeking a cloud and DevOps professional to design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure aligned with CET‑EKS, observability (o11y), and AWS Well‑Architected principles. This role focuses on platform stability, automation, and continuous improvement for mission‑critical Vodafone applications, leveraging GitOps and infrastructure‑as‑code to enable zero‑touch operations and reliable service delivery.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Develop automation through CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Operate and maintain AWS EKS, CET‑EKS, and CET‑EKS‑O11Y platforms, including lifecycle management and upgrades.
• Design and deploy hybrid connectivity solutions across CET‑based AWS accounts.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters, including capacity management, security, and compliance.
• Implement GitOps practices using GitHub, ArgoCD, Helm charts, and EKS.
• Manage observability platforms, including Grafana dashboards and monitoring stacks.

• Identify and implement cost‑optimisation opportunities using AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets.

• Contribute to DevOps culture, peer reviews, coding standards, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Who you are

• An individual with a degree in IT or a related discipline.
• Experienced in cloud computing or enterprise IT environments.
• Proficient in AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.
• Comfortable working with Git, GitOps practices, and automation‑first approaches.
• Knowledgeable in cloud security, compliance, and vulnerability management.
• Able to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• A clear communicator who values documentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Familiar with Agile ways of working and enterprise service management tools.
