Job summary

SteerLean Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer specializing in ServiceNow to lead development and implementation of IT products such as ITSM, S2P, and Service Portal. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in software development with 8+ years in ServiceNow, strong JavaScript skills, and certification readiness for CSA and CAD as a core requirement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with 8+ years in ServiceNow apps development.
• Experience across SDLC: analysis, design, development, data conversion, security, integration.
• Strong knowledge of client/server-side JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
• Hands-on with extending ServiceNow schema and building scoped apps.
• Familiarity with MID Server and 3rd party integrations; platform upgrades.

Job title - Software Engineer with Service Now

• Minimum 10+ years of strong experience of software development and at least 8+ years of relevant experience in ServiceNow applications development and implementation of IT products like ITSM, S2P, Service Portal etc.
• Experience in all facets of software development life cycle like analysis, design, development, data conversion, data security, system integration and implementation
• Rich Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript and the ServiceNow APIs
• Extensive Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications and working on ServiceNow platform capabilities and implementation of Scoped Applications
• Knowledge of MID Server setup, troubleshooting and 3rd party integrations
• Expertise in Platform Upgrades and troubleshooting platform performance issues
• Strong expertise and proven track record in building custom applications using ServiceNow Platform
• Extensive knowledge of scripted Web-Services (SRAPI, Import set APIs), such as AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST, SSO-SAML Setup and Integration of ServiceNow to Other Applications
• Deep knowledge of AJAX, JSON, HTML, XML, CSS, SOAP, REST and associated frameworks
• Ability to take role of Solution Architect and deliver projects for implementation and enhancements for stakeholders along with Product Managers.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions during project delivery
• BE / B Tech/ ME / MS / MTech in Computer Sciences, Electronics and Communications or Electrical Engineering fields with a proven academic track record

Skills

• Required ServiceNow Certifications:
• ServiceNow CSA – Certified Sys Admin (Mandatory)
• ServiceNow CAD – Certified Application Developer (Mandatory)
• ServiceNow CIS (mainline certifications) – 2 Mandatory- ITSM + any other (CSM, HRSD, SPM)
