Job summary

Genpact in Kolkata is seeking a Front Line Manager - HRO specializing in Payroll & Benefits to lead end-to-end payroll operations and ensure accurate payroll closures. You will review payroll taxes, oversee monthly filings, coordinate with Banking for salary disbursements, and perform variance analyses while guiding the payroll team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, or finance; MBA preferred.
• Certifications in payroll or HR are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll closure.
• Review payroll-related taxes and oversee monthly tax filings in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the Banking team to ensure timely funding for salary disbursements and tax payments.
• Manage payroll activities including monthly variance analysis and account reconciliations.
• Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting teams to align payroll operations with cross-functional impacts.
• Mentor and guide the payroll team to optimize performance and ensure process efficiency.
