Genpact in Hyderabad seeks a Front Line Manager for F&A - AP to supervise supplier invoices, reimbursements, and AP cycle end‑to‑end. You will lead a junior team, ensure policy compliance, and drive accuracy.

Role involves process improvements, vendor relations, and monthly closings with finance. Strong accounting knowledge and SAP experience preferred; hybrid work model available in India.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degrees in finance/accounting/economics or related field.
• Masters degree is favorable for finance track.
• Accounts Payable Certification can strengthen candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily processing of supplier invoices and reimbursements, ensure proper coding and approvals.
• Monitor accounts payable ledger for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage end-to-end AP cycle from invoice receipt to payment and reconciliation.
• Allocate and track work of junior AP team members.
• Act as first point of contact for team queries and escalations.
• Assist in training new team members on systems and procedures.
• Motivate the team to meet performance and accuracy targets.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
• Support documentation for audits.
• Assist with fraud-prevention procedures.
• Resolve vendor queries and payment discrepancies professionally.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Generate AP reports and support month/quarter close.
• Analyze payment trends and propose improvements.
• Identify gaps in AP processes and support automation or best practices.
• Participate in ERP upgrades as needed.
• Participate in management training and shadow senior finance leaders.
• Demonstrate growth potential and leadership capabilities.

Job Description

Operational Oversight

1. Supervise daily processing of supplier invoices and employee reimbursements. Ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policy.
2. Monitor accounts payable ledger for accuracy and completeness.
3. Manage end-to-end AP cycle: invoice receipt → validation → approval → payment → reconciliation.

Team Coordination & Support

1. Allocate and track work of junior AP team members.
2. Act as first point of contact for team queries and escalations.
3. Assist in training new team members on systems and procedures.
4. Motivate the team to meet performance and accuracy targets.

Compliance & Controls

1. Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
2. Support in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits.
3. Assist with implementation and monitoring of fraud‑prevention procedures.

Vendor Management

1. Resolve vendor queries and payment discrepancies professionally and timely.
2. Maintain good working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders (e.g., procurement, treasury).

Reporting & Analysis

1. Generate AP reports: aging reports, due payments, and exception reports.
2. Support monthly/quarterly closing activities with finance.
3. Analyze payment trends and propose improvements.

Process Improvement

1. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in AP processes.
2. Recommend and help implement process automation or best practices.
3. Participate in AP system upgrades or ERP implementations as needed.

Learning & Development (Trainee Focus)

1. Actively participate in management training sessions and cross‑functional projects.
2. Shadow senior finance leaders and develop understanding of financial operations.
3. Demonstrate growth potential through initiative and leadership capabilities.
