Job summary

Eurofragance is hiring a Fragrance Analyst to join our global team. In this role you will analyze fragrances using GCMS/FID, reconstitute fragrance formulas, and lead analytical projects in collaboration with perfumers across departments.

You will develop deep knowledge of fragrance materials, perform extractions from consumer products, and ensure adherence to lab protocols. Mumbai-based position with an emphasis on precision, teamwork, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Min. 4+ years study in chemistry, ideally with specialization in chemical analysis.
• Min. 5 years working experience in GC/MS analysis in the fragrance industry with exposure to perfumery materials.
• Knowledge of various extraction techniques is highly recommended.
• Good ability to smell with olfactory knowledge of perfumery materials.
• Ability to manage own projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexible yet methodical with attention to detail and Good Laboratory Practices.
• Good team player with strong communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fragrances (GCMS/FID) across Fine Fragrance, personal care and household products.
• Work on fragrance formula reconstitution.
• Lead analytical projects and discuss results with perfumers.
• Interact with Perfumery, Lab, QC, R&D and Evaluation teams.
• Perform extractions of fragrances from consumer products and manage chromatographic equipment per Eurofragance protocols.
• Develop and maintain high level of fragrance material knowledge (Analytical and Olfactory).

Here’s what you’ll be rocking every day

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze fragrances (by GCMS/FID) in a variety of consumer products such as Fine Fragrance, customer oils, Personal Care, Air Care and Household.
• Work on fragrance formula reconstitution.
• Lead individual analytical projects, exchange and discuss results with perfumers.
• Interact with internal departments such as Perfumery, Compounding Laboratory, Application, QC, R&D & Evaluation.
• Knowledge of how to perform extractions of fragrances from personal care & household products, determine the fragrance dosage of alcoholic samples, chromatographic equipment maintenance and run them with Eurofragance’s protocols.
• Develop and maintain a high level of fragrance raw material knowledge (Analytical and Olfactory)

What You Need To Shine In This Role

Educational Background

Min. 4+ years study in chemistry, ideally with specialization in chemical analysis

Experience required

• Min. of 5 years working experience in GC/MS analysis in the Fragrance Industry with exposure to perfumery raw materials and fragrances
• Ideally with previous experience of middle east market products.
• Knowledge of a variety of extraction techniques is highly recommended.
• Good ability to smell with ideally an olfactive knowledge of perfumery raw materials.
• Ability to manage own projects.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
