Job summary

Eurofragance seeks a capable QC Leader to head the Raw Materials and Fragrance Quality Control team at the new manufacturing site in India, Mumbai. You will ensure timely testing, evaluation and release of incoming materials, translating HQ guidelines into effective local QC execution.

You will build the site QC team, support production continuity, maintain lab discipline, and drive improvements in efficiency, safety and accuracy while aligning with global standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in chemistry or related field.
  • Experience in QC, analytical lab, or fragrance evaluation within fragrance industry is preferred.
  • Ability to translate HQ quality guidelines into local QC operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead raw materials and fragrance QC testing and release.
  • Implement local QC routines aligned with HQ standards.
  • Oversee analytical, physical-chemical, and organoleptic testing.
  • Ensure documentation and timely material status updates.
  • Support startup and stabilization of the India production site.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Supply Chain.
  • Escalate non-conformities per HQ processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing flow and accuracy.

What’s your mission?

To lead the Raw Materials and Fragrance Quality Control team at the new manufacturing site in India, ensuring timely and reliable testing, evaluation and release of incoming materials in full alignment with standards, methods, specifications and priorities defined by Headquarters.

The role will translate HQ quality guidelines into effective local QC execution, build and develop the site QC team, support production continuity, and ensure disciplined laboratory operations focused on quality, safety, accuracy and efficiency.

Here’s what you’ll be rocking every day
  • Ensure testing and release of incoming raw materials and fragrance compounds according to HQ-defined specifications, methods and procedures.
  • Implement local QC routines in alignment with global quality standards and HQ expectations.
  • Oversee analytical, physical-chemical and organoleptic testing activities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reliable results and timely material status updates.
  • Support the start-up and stabilization of the new production plant in India.
  • Coordinate daily priorities and mid-term topics with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Procurement and Purchasing.
  • Escalate technical doubts, atypical results and material quality concerns to HQ according to defined processes.
  • Follow HQ guidance for the management of non-conforming or questionable material.
  • Investigate and follow up on internal and external product-related non-conformities, ensuring timely data collection, laboratory verification, documentation, stakeholder communication and escalation in line with HQ-defined processes.
  • Monitor QC KPIs.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated and used according to approved procedures.
  • Train and coach QC team members.
  • Maintain good laboratory practices and safe working conditions.
  • Drive local continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability and testing flow.
  • Promote a disciplined quality culture aligned with the global framework defined by HQ.
What you need to shine in this role

Educational Background :

University Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Flavors & Fragrances, or a related scientific field.

Specific training in perfumery, fragrance evaluation, sensory analysis or olfactive assessment will be considered a strong plus.

Experience required (and minimum years of experience):

Minimum 3 years, desirable at least 5 years, of experience in Quality Control, analytical laboratory, fragrance evaluation or related technical roles within the fragrance industry.
