Job summary

Reliance Industries (RIL) seeks a dynamic FP&A Associate in Navi Mumbai to lead advanced financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and strategic analysis for its solar manufacturing business. You will partner with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Operations and Engineering to drive capital allocation, working capital optimization and scenario planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MBA preferred.
• CA with Energy Industry exposure can also be considered.
• Experience in FP&A / Business analysis within Renewables is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end financial modelling, budgeting, and long-term forecasting for large-scale manufacturing and new energy projects.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets, KPIs, and multi-year plans; deliver actionable recommendations and scenario analyses to leadership
• Prepare management presentations on business trends, risks, and investment opportunities, and drive strategies to mitigate financial risks
• Optimize cash flow planning, working capital, and capital allocation across new capacity additions and multiple factories
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Project Management) to integrate operational and financial goals
• Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, technology investments, and risk management for renewable energy expansion
• Mentor and upskill junior members of the finance team; support talent development and promote best practices

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Associate in the solar manufacturing business to lead advanced financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis to support business growth. The Associate will act as a key partner to business leadership and will also mentor analysts and collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen overall business performance and governance.

Job Accountabilities (duties and responsibilities).

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

• Advanced financial modelling and scenario planning abilities; expertise in Excel, ERP systems (e.g. SAP), and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in interpreting P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and project finance structures; knowledge of IFRS/GAAP is a plus
• Deep analytical, critical thinking, and business partnering skills; ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; prior team management/mentorship is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to drive process automation, reporting improvements, and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environments
• Awareness of Quartz / Poly-Silicon / Module / Cell markets with an understanding of Solar value chain
• Familiarity with market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and government policies in the renewable energy sector

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

Experience

Minimum 6-9 years of experience in FP&A / Business analysis roles from market research firms focussing on Renewables

Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Engineering + MBA from top school preferred
• CA with Energy Industry exposure can also be considered
