Job summary

MAHLE India Pvt. Ltd. in Dhar is seeking an experienced Supervisor for fettling operations across cast iron, steel, and aluminum castings.

You will supervise daily activities, allocate manpower, monitor performance, and ensure completion of finishing to quality standards while maintaining safety and 5S in the department. The role requires a Diploma/ITI/Graduate in Mechanical or related field with a minimum of 5 years in foundry fettling.

Responsibilities

• Manage grinding, cutting, chipping, and shot blasting operations.
• Ensure proper finishing of castings as per quality standards and customer requirements.
• Allocate manpower and monitor operator performance.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.
• Identify casting defects and take corrective actions.
• Maintain production reports, shift records, and rejection data.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage in the fettling area.
• Monitor tool usage and machine maintenance for optimum productivity.
• Train new workers on fettling processes and safety practices.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S activities in the department.
• Achieve daily production targets with minimum rejection and rework.
• Identifies the opportunities for cost reduction task without impacting quality.

Your Experience And Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in foundry fettling operations.
• Experience in handling manpower and production activities preferred
• Ability to work under production pressure
• Good communication and coordination skills
