Job summary

MAHLE Engine Comp. (IN) in Pithampur, India, is seeking a skilled fettler supervisor to oversee daily fettling of castings and manage grinding, cutting, and finishing operations.

You will allocate manpower, monitor performance, coordinate with production and quality teams, ensure safety and 5S in the fettling area, and drive on-time targets while maintaining quality and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/Graduate in Mechanical or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in foundry fettling operations.
• Experience in handling manpower and production activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fettling activities for cast iron/steel/aluminum castings.
• Manage grinding, cutting, chipping, and shot blasting operations.
• Ensure proper finishing of castings as per quality standards and customer requirements.
• Allocate manpower and monitor operator performance.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.
• Identify casting defects and take corrective actions.
• Maintain production reports, shift records, and rejection data.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage in the fettling area.

Your Contribution

• Supervise daily fettling activities for cast iron/steel/aluminum castings.
• Manage grinding, cutting, chipping, and shot blasting operations.
• Ensure proper finishing of castings as per quality standards and customer requirements.
• Allocate manpower and monitor operator performance.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.
• Identify casting defects and take corrective actions.
• Maintain production reports, shift records, and rejection data.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage in the fettling area.
• Monitor tool usage and machine maintenance for optimum productivity.
• Train new workers on fettling processes and safety practices.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S activities in the department.
• Achieve daily production targets with minimum rejection and rework.
• Identifies the opportunities for cost reduction task without impacting quality.

Your Experience and Qualification

• Good communication and coordination skills
