Job summary

Aarvi Encon is seeking an experienced Senior Food R&D Lead to drive development of dips, sauces, dressings and condiments in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.

You will lead end-to-end R&D, optimize formulations for taste, texture, shelf life and cost, and oversee product scale-up from lab to full-scale production, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Food/FMCG.
• Strong hands-on experience in Dips & Sauces is mandatory.
• Degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Food Engineering or related field.
• Experience with mayonnaise, ketchup, cheese dips, chilli sauces, dressings and condiments preferred.
• Experience in commercial product development and scale-up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle end-to-end R&D and New Product Development (NPD).
• Develop and optimize formulations for taste, texture, stability, shelf life and cost.
• Conduct product trials, sensory evaluation and competitor benchmarking.
• Handle product scale-up and commercialization from laboratory/pilot trials to commercial production.
• Conduct shelf-life and stability studies.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Procurement and other teams.
• Troubleshoot formulation and product quality issues.
• Develop product specifications, recipes and process parameters.
• Support cost optimization and selection of suitable raw materials/ingredients.

Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and applicable regulatory requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of relevant experience in the Food/FMCG industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in Dips & Sauces is mandatory.
• Degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Food Engineering or related field.
• Experience in products such as mayonnaise, ketchup, cheese dips, chilli sauces, pasta sauces, pizza sauces, dressings, spreads and condiments will be preferred.
• Candidates from MNCs, large corporations, reputed Indian brands or well-established food companies will be strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food formulation, ingredients, emulsification, stabilizers, preservatives and shelf-life.
• Experience in commercial product development and scale-up.
