Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer in Delhi to manage and contribute to fleet performance improvements and maintenance plan execution. You will troubleshoot, analyze system reliability, and drive actions to meet project KPIs and quality requirements established by the board and contract.

The role involves coordinating with Operations, Sourcing, EHS and other functions, plus leading the Fleet Support team to ensure timely maintenance and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Elec/Mech) or BTech from a recognized university.
• Railways knowledge on maintainability aspects required.
• Minimum 8 years total experience in maintenance/field roles.
• At least 5 years in rolling stock troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong data analysis capabilities and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the project for efficient troubleshooting and reliability improvements.
• Analyse system performance and maintenance plans; implement action plans to enhance KPIs.
• Create analytics reports using tools (Tableau) and monitor fleet data.
• Lead the Fleet Support team and coordinate with depot and stations for corrective actions.
• Manage safety, quality, and environmental compliance within the project scope.

Key accountabilities

Technical Support Function

• Provides the technical support to the project for effiecient troubleshooting, reliability and availability improvements.
• Proposes innovative solutions and implements Services solutions in the maintenance project.
• Analyses the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
• Searches for improvement actions in maintenance operations, performing engineering interface activities with Operations (depot support).
• Analyses failure criticality studies and uses RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and other available methodologies to define and optimise the maintenance requirements, tasks and intervals.
• Analyses and integrates data coming from Operations (Return on Experience).

Data Analyst Function

• Support technically drivers and station located personnel.
• Support technically depot personnel in order to reduce repairing times.
• Logs, events and incidences analysis to define/coordinate corrective actions to take.
• Creation of different reports (contractual/technical. Etc.) in order to explain incidents.
• Creation of analytics reports using available tools (Tableau, …).
• Support the improvement of the diagnosis tool (HealthHub).
• Cooperate in the in the organization of the corrective maintenance both in depot and the stations.
• Creation and management of the different fleet retrofits in order to improve the reliability.
• Cooperation in the implementation and development of new tools to monitor new subsystems and improve the effectiveness of the tasks done in the depot.
• Verify the correct execution of the maintenance plan, proposing improvements.
• Test different elect mechanical components.
• Update KPIs.
• Notify incidents that are likely to lead to Safety issues in the fleet.
• Quality, Environment, Safety and Health normative accomplishment.
• Manages and develops the Fleet Support team.
• Takes responsibility for QCD targets and deliverables of the project

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

• Engineering University- Diploma/Degree or B Tech (Elec Eng, Mech)
• Railways technical knowledge on maintainability aspects.

Experience

• Minimum 8 Years of total experience in relevant maintenance/ field including at least 5 years of experience in Rolling stock trouble shooting and maintenance.
• Data analysis capabilities
• Troubleshooting expertise.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
• Experience in a railway maintenance contract
• Working knowledge of safety management systems and risk assessment and qaulity tools
• Very knowledgeable in data processing and reports preparations.
• Knowledge in MS Office and other digital application for data management.
