Responsibilities

• Fixed Asset Identification and Reconciliation: conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets on-site; reconcile physical assets with records; investigate discrepancies.
• Account Management: record fixed asset transactions (acquisitions, disposals, transfers); ensure depreciation schedules are updated; maintain compliance with fixed asset accounting standards.
• Asset Tracking and Reporting: develop and maintain live status reports for fixed assets (location, condition, usage); prepare periodic fixed asset reports for management.
• Documentation and Compliance: maintain documentation for fixed asset transactions; assist audits with necessary fixed asset records and reconciliations; adhere to internal controls and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Fixed Asset Identification and Reconciliation

• Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets on-site.
• Reconcile physical assets with the records in the books of accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in asset records promptly.

Accounts Management

• Record all fixed asset transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers, in the accounting system.
• Ensure depreciation schedules are updated and accurate.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards related to fixed assets.

Asset Tracking and Reporting

• Develop and maintain a live status report for all fixed assets, including location, condition, and usage.
• Prepare periodic fixed asset reports for management review.

Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain proper documentation for all fixed asset transactions, including purchase invoices, transfer notes, and disposal records.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary fixed asset records and reconciliations.
• Adhere to internal controls and policies regarding fixed asset management
