Primo Chemicals Ltd. invites an experienced Fitter Mechanical to join the Plant site at Nangal, Punjab. You will perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance on utility equipment and compressors, backed by 10-15 years in chemical/process industries.

ITI in Fitter/Mechanical Trade is mandatory; a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage. You will troubleshoot, overhaul, and service air compressors, chillers and air dryers, ensuring reliable plant operation.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of utility equipment.
• Perform overhauling, troubleshooting, and repair of non-lubricated reciprocating air compressors (400-600 Nm/hr).
• Attend day-to-day breakdowns and routine maintenance of reciprocating air compressors.
• Maintain and repair KC-9 and 5H126 (Voltas) Freon compressors operating on R-22 refrigerant.
• Execute preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of Atlas Copco screw air compressors (600 Nm/hr and 850 Nm/hr).
• Carry out maintenance of Kirloskar chiller units: 300 TR Screw Type Chiller; 600 TR Centrifugal Chiller on R-134a refrigerant.
• Perform maintenance and servicing of industrial air dryers.
• Ensure equipment reliability through timely inspections and maintenance planning.
• Follow plant safety standards, SOPs, and permit-to-work procedures during maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Department to minimize downtime and ensure smooth plant operation.
• Maintain maintenance records and report equipment abnormalities.

Position: Fitter Mechanical

Experience: 10 - 15 Years of relevant hands‑on experience in a Chemical, Caustic Soda, Chlor‑Alkali, Process, or similar continuous process industry.
Location: Plant Site (NANGAL) UNA ROAD PB

Qualification

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of utility equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience in:
  • Non-lubricated reciprocating air compressors
  • Screw air compressors (Atlas Copco or equivalent)
  • Freon compressors (Voltas KC-9 & 5H126)
  • Industrial chillers (Screw & Centrifugal)
  • Air dryers and associated utility systems
• Strong knowledge of compressor overhauling, alignment, bearing replacement, seal replacement, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently diagnose and rectify mechanical failures.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
