Job summary

Olive PharmaScience is seeking a Fitter for our Warehouse in Vapi. The role involves installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing and utility operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to GMP, EHS, and workplace-safety standards while supporting equipment installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• ITI trained fitter with ability to install, inspect, maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to GMP and workplace-safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Inspect machinery, pumps, valves, pipelines, and mechanical assemblies.
• Identify mechanical faults, wear, leakage, and abnormal vibration.
• Dismantle, repair, assemble, and reinstall mechanical components as authorized.
• Replace worn or damaged parts according to approved procedures.
• Support maintenance of production and utility equipment.
• Assist with installation and alignment of machinery.
• Record maintenance activities in logbooks and work orders.

Job Description

A Fitter is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery used in manufacturing and utility operations. The supports equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, component replacement, and adherence to engineering, GMP, and workplace-safety procedures.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Inspect machinery, pumps, valves, pipelines, and mechanical assemblies.
• Identify mechanical faults, wear, leakage, and abnormal vibration.
• Dismantle, repair, assemble, and reinstall mechanical components as authorized.
• Replace worn or damaged parts according to approved procedures.
• Support maintenance of production and utility equipment.
• Assist with installation and alignment of machinery.
• Perform basic fitting, cutting, drilling, and assembly work as required.
• Support equipment breakdown troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams during maintenance.
• Follow approved equipment-isolation and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in good condition.
• Record maintenance activities in logbooks and work orders.
• Monitor availability of spare parts and mechanical consumables.
• Assist with equipment testing after repairs.
• Support equipment installation and commissioning activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
• Report equipment abnormalities and safety hazards promptly.
• Follow PPE, EHS, and workshop-safety requirements.
• Comply with applicable GMP and engineering SOPs.
