Job summary

Apex Group is seeking an Associate for its global accounting team in Maharashtra. You will assist in book-keeping, prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flows, and notes under IFRS/US GAAP.

You will analyze bank transactions, invoices, expenses, and inter-company movements, and help finalize trial balances and management accounts. Ideal candidates have CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA Finance or CFA with 0–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA or equivalent in accounting/finance
• 0–5 years accounting experience; IFRS/US GAAP preferred
• Proficient in MS Office; strong communication and detail orientation

Responsibilities

• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, and notes.
• Analyze bank transactions and process on accounting platform/Excel.
• Process invoices, expenses, and other transactions.
• Understand accrued and prepaid expenses, FAR and revaluations.
• Reconcile inter-company AP/AR and cash movements.
• Assist with trial balance finalization and IFRS/US GAAP reporting

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Receipt of required data for the preparation of Book-Keeping and periodic primary statements, namely – P&L account, Balance sheet, Cash-flows & notes as appropriate.
• Analysis of bank transactions and processing them on accounting platform/excel.
• Analysis and processing of invoices, expenses, and other transactions.
• Clear understanding of accrued & prepaid expenses, FAR & Revaluations.
• Understanding of cash, capital & Dividend movements
• Ability to reconcile AP & AR (Inter-company transactions)
• Exposure to Trial balance finalization.
• Preparation & reporting of periodic management accounts in multiple GAAPs, mainly in IFRS, US GAAP.
• Exposure to payroll accounting, posting journal entries & VAT/GST calculations/returns.
• Ability to understand and resolve queries raised by Onshore, Client, Auditor and Director.

Qualification And Experience

• Qualification- CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or any course specialized in Accounting/Finance
• Experience of 0-5 years in Accounting (IFRS/US GAAP is preferred)
