Job summary

ABB Finance in Bengaluru is actively seeking an experienced FP&A professional to collect, analyse, and interpret financial data, update budgets and forecasts, and communicate insights to cross-functional teams.

You will own end-to-end accounting for local units, oversee Capex projects, prepare annual budgeting, build financial models, and benchmark KPIs to drive performance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years post-qualification experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
• Enhanced knowledge of SAP and BI tools.
• Degree in CMA/CA/US CMA/CIMA/ACCA/MBA with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with divisions/functions to understand accounting practices and ensure audit compliance.
• Manage end-to-end monthly/quarterly closing for local units (Real Estate Product Groups).
• Oversee Capex projects, capitalizations, transfers, and quarterly disclosures.
• Prepare annual budgeting including capital investments and occupancy costs.
• Build business cases and financial models for scenarios and decisions.
• Benchmark KPIs such as EBITA, working capital, and capex spending.

You will update budgets and forecasts and identify trends and problems. This position reports to FP&A Manager.You will be mainly accountable for:1. Collaborate with the other financial professionals in Divisions / Hubs / Countries / functions to understand on-going accounting practices and adhere to audit compliance and standards.2. Responsible for end-to-end bottom-up accounting (including monthly/ quarterly closing) for the respective local units pertaining to Real Estate Product Groups. This includes Monthly Journal entries, reclassification entries, review of profit and loss account, Operational Free cash flow and Balance Sheet.3. Overseeing commercial execution of all Capex Projects and implements finance control processes with precise quarterly Capex projections. Monitoring Fixed Asset Register and timely recording of Capitalization, Transfer and Retirement including quarterly disclosure.4. Prepare Annual Budgeting including Capital Investments and Occupancy Cost. Supporting the analysis of business actual performance versus plan and proposing improvement actions.5. Prepare business cases (GMAS - Internal tool) and performing cost - benefit analysis under various scenarios and support decisions. Preparing financial modeling for various hypotheses and analyzing impact to the organization and validating the accuracy.6. Performing benchmarking of key performance indicators (i.e. Operational EBITA, Net Working Capital and Capex Spending). Working with local/ global management team to understand and analyze drivers of financial performance and identifying market trends of financial data and business information and reporting through reconciliation and review of exceptions.7. Support preparing management reports including CRIMS internal tool – for Portfolio Management and Capex Tracker and need based MIS.8. Improve finance engagement across cross function team (example: collaborate with local team/Purchase to Payment (P2P), R2R, AR, Fixed Assets so on)9. Manages relationship with the stakeholders in their area of responsiblity and ensures alignment.Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)Total 3-5 Years of post qualification experience.
