Job summary

Capgemini India seeks a Finance Controller with solid experience in project controlling and SAP S/4HANA to partner with business units. You will analyze KPIs, manage monthly closes, and ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost booking across the portfolio.

You should be proficient in MS Excel (macros, data modeling) and Power BI, with strong communication and attention to detail to meet tight deadlines and support sales proposals.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of project controlling and its impact on financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (minimum 2 years).
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level including macros, data modeling, and queries), MS Access, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Act as a proactive business partner with an operational mindset.
• Build and maintain relationships with Capgemini entities delivering contracts (Account Executives, Service Delivery Managers).
• Report and analyze key financial KPIs such as WIP/BIA, revenue, and costs.
• Analyze budget versus forecast variances across the project portfolio.
• Perform monthly closing activities, including result analysis and presentations to leadership and Finance.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, expense booking, provisions, and corrections to project costs and revenues during monthly close.
• Explain variances between actuals and forecasts with clear analysis.
• Interface with onshore and offshore delivery controlling teams to review cost containment measures.
• Update and maintain financial and reporting tools accurately and timely.
• Monitor and control WIP/BIA positions and ensure timely client billing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial standards and policies.
• Support business partners in coordinating with Sales and Analyst teams for new client proposals.

• Explain variances between actuals and forecasts with clear analysis.
• Interface with onshore and offshore delivery controlling teams to review and challenge cost containment measures and productivity cost commitments.
• Update and maintain financial and reporting tools accurately and timely.
• Monitor and control WIP/BIA positions and ensure timely client billing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial standards and policies.
• Support business partners in coordinating with Sales and Analyst teams for new client proposals, ensuring process adherence.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
