Job summary

Thoucentric in Bengaluru seeks a Senior SAP Controlling Architect to lead design and configuration of SAP Controlling modules (Product Costing, Actual Costing, COPA) within S/4HANA Finance. You will drive end-to-end implementation projects, coordinate with finance stakeholders, and ensure solutions align with best practices.

The role requires 6–7+ years in SAP Controlling, strong vendor and stakeholder management, and a collaborative, result-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance or related field with CA/Cost Accountant qualification.
• Minimum 6–7 years designing and configuring SAP Controlling solutions with at least 1 end-to-end implementation.
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Controlling topics: Product Costing, Actual Costing, COPA and Cost Object Controlling.
• Understanding of integration with MM, SD, PP, PM, PS modules.
• Excellent vendor and stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall architecture in SAP Controlling (Product Costing/Actual Costing, COPA and CCA focus).
• Gather business requirements for finance solution developments and ensure delivery of changes.
• Build and maintain relationships with key finance vendors and process leads.
• Support delivery, operation, and upgrades of finance solutions including SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Communicate changes, upgrades, and enhancements to stakeholders and drive user adoption.
• Ensure IT services are delivered per SLAs and business expectations.
• Support Finance IT performance meetings to drive improvements with stakeholders and vendors.
• Maintain a view of future solution functionality and technologies to enhance stakeholder experience.
• Act as solution architect and SME to propose and implement right solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall architecture in SAP Controlling (Product Costing/Actual Costing, COPA and CCA being the focus areas), Internal/Management reporting and consolidation items.


• Gather business requirements for finance solution developments and ensure the delivery of subsequent changes.


• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key finance solution vendor contacts, finance process leads and other key finance team members.


• Support the delivery, operation, and regular upgrade of finance solutions, including SAP S/4HANA Finance, ensuring it remains aligned to the current and future business needs.


• Effectively communicate changes, upgrades, and enhancements to stakeholders, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.


• Ensure that the Finance IT development and application management services are delivered in accordance with all contractual SLAs and business expectations.


• Support regular Finance IT performance management meetings with key business stakeholders to drive performance improvements within the IT team and software vendors.


• Maintain a view of future solution functionality and aligned technologies that would enhance, simplify, or delight experience for our business stakeholders.


• Work as solution architect and SME to ensure right solutions are proposed and implemented aligning with industry best practices.

What are we looking for?

Skills & Experiences

• Bachelors/master’s degree in finance or a qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant.


• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in designing and configuring SAP Controlling (Supply Chain Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis) solutions with a background in SAP consulting and at least 1 end-to-end implementations in SAP Controlling.


• Strong knowledge and experience in SAP S/4HANA Controlling topics, such as Product Costing, Actual Costing, Cost Object Controlling and COPA


• Good understanding of the functional integration aspects with other SAP modules like MM, SD, PP, PM, PS.


• Excellent vendor management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build trust.


• Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.


• Team player, with the ability to work collaboratively and constructively with others.
