Job summary

Qrata is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the Finance & Accounts function for a fast-growing consumer business based near Pune. The role will own financial reporting, cash flow, taxation, compliance, inventory accounting, commercial finance and internal controls, collaborating with founders and business leaders to improve profitability.

Qualifications

• CA or Inter-CA with strong controllership experience.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in finance.
• Experience in D2C, FMCG, retail or high-volume distribution.
• Proficient with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, SAP or similar ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query).

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and annual financial closing, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Manage accounting, reconciliations, provisions and audit readiness.
• Prepare channel-wise revenue, gross margin and profitability MIS.
• Analyze SKU, customer and channel profitability and identify margin leakages.
• Drive cash-flow forecasting, collections, payables, inventory and working capital.
• Oversee GST, TDS/TCS, e-invoicing and other statutory compliances.
• Lead the Finance & Accounts team and establish strong financial controls.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the Finance & Accounts function in a fast-growing, founder-led business.

The role will own financial reporting, cash flow, taxation, compliance, inventory accounting, commercial finance and internal controls, while working closely with founders and business leaders to improve profitability and working capital.

Key Responsibilities

• Own monthly and annual financial closing, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Manage accounting, reconciliations, provisions, ledgers and audit readiness.
• Prepare channel-wise revenue, gross margin and profitability MIS.
• Analyse SKU, customer and channel profitability and identify margin leakages.
• Drive cash-flow forecasting, collections, payables, inventory and working capital.
• Manage reconciliations for Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon and other marketplaces.
• Review commissions, promotions, returns, damages, deductions and credit notes.
• Manage inventory accounting, product costing, COGS, wastage and manufacturing variances.
• Oversee GST, TDS/TCS, e-invoicing, e-way bills and other statutory compliances.
• Coordinate statutory/tax audits and resolve audit observations.
• Improve ERP integration, reporting dashboards and finance automation.
• Lead the Finance & Accounts team and establish strong financial controls.

What Were Looking For

• CA with 712 years of relevant experience or strong Inter-CA candidates with substantial controllership experience.
• Experience in D2C, FMCG, food manufacturing, retail or high-volume distribution.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, audit, inventory accounting and working capital.
• Experience with quick-commerce, e-commerce or institutional B2B accounts is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, SAP or similar ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills — Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and Power Query.
• Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on and detail-oriented approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.
