Job Description
Financial Controller. To lead and oversee the entire finance function of the unit by ensuring robust financial governance, statutory compliance, financial planning, risk management, and strategic business support. The Financial Controller will be responsible for driving financial performance, strengthening internal controls, ensuring audit readiness, optimizing working capital, and providing actionable financial insights to support operational and business objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Area(s) of Responsibility
- Lead the unit's finance and accounting function, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory regulations, and corporate policies.
- Oversee financial reporting, period-end book closures, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards, Companies Act requirements, taxation laws, and other regulatory obligations.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance monitoring across the unit.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and senior leadership team.
- Lead statutory, internal, tax, and special audits while ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation processes.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, capital expenditure, and overall financial health of the unit.
- Oversee taxation matters including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
- Ensure payroll accounting accuracy and compliance with labour-related statutory requirements.
- Drive SAP optimization, process automation initiatives, and continuous improvement in financial systems and reporting.
- Evaluate business risks and provide financial guidance on operational and strategic decisions.
- Develop and mentor the finance team, ensuring capability enhancement and succession planning.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Work Experience
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounts, with significant leadership exposure in manufacturing, food production, aviation catering, hospitality, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, Companies Act, Direct and Indirect Taxation, and Corporate Finance.
- Proven experience in leading audits, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, and statutory compliance.
- Expertise in financial planning, business partnering, cost control, and working capital management.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP S4 HANA, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, stakeholder management, and decision‑making capabilities.
Language(s) needed in position
- Fluent in English and Hindi.
- Knowledge of the local language preferred.
