Job summary

Responsibilities

• Strategic Finance & Leadership: Define and execute financial strategy with the CFO and lead long-term planning.
• FP&A: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling; provide performance insights.
• Financial Accounting & Reporting: Oversee GL, month-end/year-end close, and financial statements.
• Compliance, Audits & Risk: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements; manage audits and internal controls.
• Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation.
• Business Partnering: Collaborate with business heads for financial insights on bids and decisions.
• ERP and Automation: Lead finance automation and ERP transformation; build CXO dashboards.

Job Role : Financial Controller
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Role Summary
The Finance Controller will act as the financial controller reporting to the CFO and lead the organization's comprehensive finance functional including strategic finance, financial planning & analysis, accounting, reporting, compliance, audits, treasury, and governance. This role also integrates core responsibilities of the Financial controller, ensuring both strategic leadership along with operational excellence across all finance verticals
The position plays a pivotal role in financial strategy, business partnering, internal controls, and building a high-performance finance function to support organizational growth and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Finance & Leadership

• Partner with the CFO to define and execute financial strategy.
• Drive long-term financial planning, business expansion, and profitability initiatives.
• Represent the CFO in leadership forums, decision-making councils, and cross-functional reviews.
• Support investor relations, board presentations, and strategic initiatives.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Deliver insights on business performance, cost optimization, and margin improvement.
• Build and automate MIS dashboards and analytics for the leadership team.
• Evaluate financial viability for new projects, government programs, and partnerships.

3. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee accounting operations, general ledger, month-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Strengthen reporting standards and implement best practices in financial governance.
• Ensure accuracy of MIS reports and financial statements delivered to management.

4. Compliance, Audits & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and all statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Lead statutory, tax, and other regulatory audits.
• Build and maintain robust internal control frameworks.
• Identify financial and operational risks, and implement risk mitigation strategies.

5. Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Support fundraising, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
• Optimize fund utilization, cash cycles, and capital allocation.

6. Business Partnering

• Collaborate with business heads, project teams, and operations leaders.
• Provide financial insights for bids, proposals, and major organizational decisions.
• Assess commercial and financial risks for education, infrastructure, and government-funded projects.

7. ERP and Automation

• Lead Finance and Technology transformation and automation initiatives of the organisation
• Developing Dashboards for CXOs leading to efficiencies in decision making
• Automation of existing processes to achieve efficiencies

8. Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead, mentor, and develop finance & accounts teams across the organisation.
• Embed a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.

Key Requirements

Qualification

• Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory
• MBA (Finance) -Preferred

Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in Finance, Accounts, and Controllership roles.
• Proven leadership experience as Finance Controller / Head Finance / Deputy CFO.
• Preferably from education, EdTech, project-based, or multi-location organizations.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in financial strategy, FP&A, and financial reporting.
• Deep knowledge of GST, Income Tax, audits, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems (Business Central, Odoo, etc.).
• Advanced financial modeling, Excel, and MIS capabilities.
