Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end accounting function for the Indian entity.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for consolidation into the Parent Company’s consolidated financial statements.
  • Coordinate with Group Finance and Corporate Reporting teams to ensure compliance with group accounting policies, reporting formats, and timelines.
  • Prepare and reconcile consolidation schedules, inter-company balances, related party transactions, and supporting disclosures.
  • Provide accurate financial data, notes, schedules, and management explanations required for quarterly and annual consolidation and reporting to the listed parent entity.
  • Support the Parent Company’s statutory reporting, board reporting, investor reporting, and audit requirements by providing timely financial information and analysis.
  • Ensure alignment of local books with Group reporting requirements and facilitate smooth consolidation under applicable accounting standards.
  • Act as the primary finance liaison between the Indian entity and the Parent Company’s finance, audit, and compliance teams.
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with Ind AS and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and balance sheet schedules.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of statutory audits.
Management Reporting & Business Finance:
  • Prepare monthly management reports, MIS, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide insights on profitability, margins, working capital, and key financial metrics.
  • Support leadership with financial analysis for strategic and operational decisions.
  • Develop dashboards and performance reporting mechanisms.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
  • Work with business stakeholders to develop realistic budgets and operating plans.
  • Monitor budget utilization and highlight deviations with actionable recommendations.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
  • Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance including Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure timely filing of returns and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and manage tax assessments, audits, and notices.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess business impact.
Internal Controls & Risk Management:
  • Establish and strengthen financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and audit recommendations.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
Treasury & Working Capital Management:
  • Manage cash flow planning and liquidity requirements.
  • Monitor working capital, receivables, payables, and inventory controls.
  • Oversee banking relationships, fund management, and treasury operations.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of financial resources.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary finance partner for business leaders in India.
  • Liaise with auditors, bankers, consultants, regulatory authorities, and group finance teams.
  • Support board, management, and investor reporting requirements as needed.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Establish clear KPIs and development plans for team members.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
Experience:
  • 10-12+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a Finance Controller, Financial Reporting, or senior finance leadership role.
  • Experience with technology, trading, or listed company environments preferred.
  • Strong exposure to statutory audits, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced financial analysis and business partnering capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP system-SAP.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
