Job summary

Partner Company in India seeks a Finance Systems Analyst to optimise finance platforms, ERP, FP&A, and reporting environments. The role emphasizes advanced Excel, large datasets, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable insights and automated improvements.

You will work with Finance, Technology, and business teams to implement scalable solutions, improve data quality, and enable better decision-making across financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience delivering process improvements and system enhancements that generate measurable business value.
  • Strong interest and practical experience in finance systems, data analysis, reporting, and continuous process optimisation.
  • Sound understanding of management accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with hands-on experience working with large and complex datasets, sophisticated formulas, data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and develop structured solutions.
  • Experience supporting or improving finance technology platforms, ERP systems, FP&A solutions, or related reporting environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance and technology stakeholders.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks and identify improvement opportunities independently.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, quality, governance, and self-review.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or another Financial Planning & Analysis platform is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience working in collaborative environments focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver enhancements across finance systems and reporting platforms.
  • Support the complete lifecycle of finance system improvements, from requirements gathering and data analysis through testing, reporting development, deployment, and release activities.
  • Act as a Finance Systems Super User, supporting system integrity, governance, data consistency, and effective platform usage.
  • Analyse, validate, reconcile, and consolidate large and complex financial and operational datasets from multiple sources.
  • Use advanced Excel functions, analytical techniques, and reporting capabilities to investigate data issues, support month-end processes, develop reports, and generate actionable insights.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive activities and improve finance processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Support integrations between finance systems and ensure that data remains accurate, complete, consistent, and reliable as it moves between platforms.
  • Investigate data and system issues, identify root causes, and implement structured solutions that improve data quality and system performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and wider business teams to design and implement sustainable solutions that improve user experience and business outcomes.
  • Contribute to strategic finance technology initiatives, continuous improvement programmes, and system optimisation projects.
  • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, quality, governance, and continuous review of finance-related outputs.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and improve the technology that supports modern finance operations. You will work across finance systems, ERP and FP&A platforms, reporting tools, and data environments to deliver reliable and actionable information. The position combines finance knowledge, advanced data analysis, systems expertise, and continuous improvement. You will partner with finance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable system enhancements and better reporting capabilities.
