Jobgether SRL, on behalf of our partner, seeks a SAP FINANCE – FP&A / FINANCIAL PLANNING FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT based in India. You will strengthen planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting within SAP; act as a bridge between finance and tech teams to translate business needs into SAP solutions.

This fully remote senior role leads end-to-end SAP Finance FP&A delivery, configures GL, cost center, profit center, and fixed assets, and designs driver-based planning models to connect forecasts

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP FINANCE – FP&A / FINANCIAL PLANNING FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT based in India.

This is a senior functional consulting opportunity focused on strengthening financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities within an SAP environment.

You’ll serve as a key bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into effective SAP solutions.

The role covers core finance areas including General Ledger, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Fixed Assets.

You’ll design driver-based planning models that connect financial forecasts with operational performance and strategic objectives.

Your expertise will help improve planning workflows, financial data integrity, and the quality of insights available for business decision-making.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across finance and technology to define requirements, validate business rules, and implement process improvements.

Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation and functional delivery of SAP Finance solutions, with a particular focus on financial planning and analysis.
• Configure and support SAP Finance capabilities covering General Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Fixed Assets.
• Design and facilitate driver-based financial planning models that connect forecasts to operational drivers and strategic business objectives.
• Conduct requirements-gathering workshops with finance and business stakeholders to understand planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, business rules, workflows, and solution designs for technical and development teams.
• Design, manage, and optimize FP&A workflows to support accurate P&L planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Analyze existing financial planning and budgeting processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend SAP-based improvements and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate requirements, business rules, calculations, and financial data throughout the planning lifecycle.
• Ensure consistency and integrity of financial data across relevant SAP processes and planning activities.
• Support testing, validation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of financial planning solutions.
• Communicate functional solutions and complex financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in SAP Finance, with strong expertise in FP&A and financial planning functional areas.
• Proven experience configuring and managing SAP General Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Fixed Assets.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L planning processes within SAP environments.
• Demonstrated experience designing driver-based planning models and supporting complex financial forecasting scenarios.
• Strong ability to conduct stakeholder workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.
• In-depth understanding of FP&A workflows, financial business rules, planning structures, and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in financial planning and process optimization.
• Ability to assess existing finance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and business value.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex functional and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with finance users, business stakeholders, developers, and other technology teams.
• High attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation, requirements analysis, and solution delivery.
